Michael Anthony Saunders, age 53. Sunrise May 13th, 1969 and Sunset July 11th, 2022.
Michael was born to the late Syvillia Ann Saunders and Michael Teague on May 13th, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Linden McKinley High School and later received his Bachelor Degree in Business Management from Hocking College. He always had a love for music. In 1992 he started and founded L-Hearted Records and started the group “LNO.” Michael had an entrepreneurship mindset where he opened up several businesses under the corporation “One Umbrella.” He also became co-owner and President of Next Step Recovery Center where he is affectionately known as “Boss Man.” Michael had a very big heart, loving spirit, and unconditional love for his family and friends, especially for his wife and kids.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Syvillia Ann Saunders; father, Michael Teague Sr.; maternal grandmother, Virginia Louise Smith (Big Ma); maternal grandfathers, Tom Saunders and Robert Smith; paternal grandmother, Christine Rocker; paternal grandfather, Wadell Teague; mother-in-law, June Garrett; uncles, Robert Saunders and Anthony Saunders; brother, Andrew Teague.
Michael leaves to cherish his wife, Diane Saunders and children, Squita Green, Jaszmine Mica Norman, Ki’Mya Saunders; sister, Kimberly (Eugene) Shepherd; brothers, Michael Teague Jr., Shawn Teague, JJ Teague; aunts, Diane Saunders, Sharon Saunders, Wanda Saunders, Melva Saunders-Johnson, Katrina Saunders, TomRhonda(Chad) Mills; uncle, Robert Smith Jr., great-aunt, Constance (Elijah) Graves; great-uncle, Theodore Braithwaite; nieces, Carlissa Fells and Carlitta Fells; nephew, Eugene Shepherd III; 3 grandchildren; 2 brother-in-laws and 6 sister-in-laws; cousins, Meka Saunders-Tolliver, Jesse Bannerman, Terry Fisher Jr., James Averett Jr., Fred Saunders, Anthony Saunders, Carl Johnson; special friends, Willie Meeks, Charles Rookard, Clarence Diggs, Michael Barksdale, James Parson, Thomas Lyles, Anthony Jasper Stone; and a host of other family and friends that Michael loved dearly. Michael a.k.a “Black,” “Back Doe,” “Baldenie,” “JJ,” “Monkey,” ”Money Mike,” “Unc,” “Boss Man,” will truly be missed by all.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, July 22, 2022 at Refuge Baptist Church, 400 N 20th Street.

Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
