Michael C. Wilks Sr., 49. Born May 7, 1959 in Mobile, AL. departed this life after a long battle with cancer at the Zusman Community Hospice Center on March 24, 2009. He attended Mohawk High School and served in the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by his father Willie D. Wilks Sr. and sister Barbara Ann Wilks Nowlin. Michael is survived by his best friend and loving wife Theresa Ann Flowers Wilks; mother Jessie N. Wilks; children Michael Carl Wilks Jr. and Shandena Carter; granddaughter Essence Carter; siblings Annie (Luther) Stewart, Vanessa (Robert) Gilbert, Yvette Wilks, W. David Wilks, Ronnie (Shari) Wilks and Donnie (Monica) Wilks and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
