Michael Eugene Harris was born June 2, 1959 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Moses Simpson Harris and Virginia Lillie Harris, and died unexpectedly December 10, 2020.
Michael moved to Columbus Ohio in the 70’s with his mother, and his siblings. He later got his GED and went to Culinary School. Michael loved sports all around, but he was an avid Big Time Pittsburg Steelers fan! Michael enjoyed spending and having a good time with family and friends. His gentle and kind demeanor will forever be missed.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Moses and Virginia L. Harris, and brother, Moses Christopher Harris.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory, devoted significant other of 20 years, Tina M. Kinzer; one and only son, Cedrick (Darrlyn) L. McElroy; two grandchildren, Ta’Tyara L. McElroy and Cedrick Lee McElroy Jr.; three brothers, Timothy Harris, Darryl (Targi) Harris, and Derrick (Kimberly) Harris; baby sister, Yvonne (Omar) Jungodo Harris; very special niece, Sierra V. Harris; nephew, Kenneth L. Harris; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Michael leaves a void which cannot be filled. We will miss our Michael dearly.
Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

I miss and love you so much dad,A lot has happened since you been away, Your granddaughter graduated and is doing good,your grandson is working,Me and Darrlyn are doing good,Punkin and Sierra and Zahara are great,Your brothers Tim and Derek are ok,I’m keeping them together,I Know you and Aunt Yvonne and Mommy are looking down on us,just continue to shine y’all’s light on us,I just recently lost my Mother less than a month ago May 11th 2022,so I’m still going thru some sorrow but you know your son strong and I’m going hold it down,I wish you was still here with me and I know you can see what all else done transpired but I won’t speak on that I’m just missing you Pops your forever in my heart,love ya, Darrlyn Misses you like crazy too, until we meet again I will be here

Miss you Mike. Think about you all the time. Tell MOMMY and YVONNE hi and that I’ll always love them and I’m always thinking of them. Tell Chris hello and that I miss him and that I love him. Until we meet again stay down my brother.
