Michael Sean Lake was born May 10, 1972 and left this earthly life on May 25, 2018.

Sean grew up with many cousins who were more like brothers and sisters. He graduated from Gahanna-Lincoln High School in 1990. Upon completion of high school, he attended DeVry University. He had various jobs and most recently was attending Columbus State Community College.

The greatest love in Sean’s life has always been his family and his dog, Winston. He would not let too much time pass before he made it home to visit with his mom and dad. After his mother’s death he would visit with his aunt Eileen as well as the numerous cousins. We will miss Sean.

Sean is preceded in death by his mother, Lucinda Lake, who passed away September 1, 2009.

Sean leaves to cherish his memory with father, George A. Lake; four siblings, Georgetta Lake, Michael Jerome (biological father), Nathaniel and Phillip Lake, and Lynn Blevins (biological sister); aunt, Eileen Vinson; special friend, Sheri Lauer; and a host of cousins, and other relatives, and friends.

Sean will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Thursday, June 7, 2018 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.

Condolence from Kim Dillard on May 31st, 2018 11:11 pm

To the family of Michael, I am so sorry to hear of his death. When a loved one dies it is never easy because God has “put eternity” into our hearts.(Ecclesiastes 3:11) Revelation 21:4 says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” May you rely on God’s promises to get you through this most difficult period.
