Mildred Mary Washington

Mildred M. Washington, 85, of Ontario, OH passed away on August 7, 2022. She was born in Hammond, Louisiana on September 20, 1936.

Mildred never met a stranger, she always welcomed everyone with open arms. She was an amazing mother and loving grandmother. Family time meant everything to her. She enjoyed hosting all the holiday gatherings. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping, and bowling. She was a lifetime member of The New Community Temple Church of God in Christ.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Earlene Washington; grandchildren, Dan Taylor Jr., Savalas (Lorie) Taylor, Rajan Franklin, Daktari Wasington, Shateri Stokes, John Stokes and Terry Stokes; 26 grandchildren including, Daron Taylor and Lacario Taylor whom she helped raise; 8 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, Addie Lousi Valdry and Johnny Bouva; husband I.W. Washington; children, Ethel Mae Stokes, Charlene Taylor and Joyce Washington; brothers, Joseph Valdry adn Val Valdry; sisters, Eunice Jones and Eleanora Hinton.

The Family would like to give a special thanks to The New Community Temple Church of God in Christ and Southern Care Hospice.

Visitation 10am and Funeral 11am Monday August 15, 2022 at New Community Temple COGIC 338 Harker St. Interment at Mansfield Cemetery.
