WareJohnJr

Minister John R. Ware, Jr. was born on February 26, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio. He was the son of the late John and Opal Ware. Minister Ware went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 20, 2023 while at home with his loving wife and family by his side.

Minister Ware has always been a hard-working man. In 1967, while living in Detroit, he was of the first managers at Chrysler. He retired in 1985, after suffering a serious injury after moving back to Columbus.

Minister Ware worked at the Columbus Airport for 22 years as a supervisor and shuttle driver. In 1992, he sold Stacey Adams shoes and even ran his own shoe store which he named after his wife, Laura Shoe Company.

Minister Ware began a new life in July 1986, when he surrendered his life to the Lord. At New Life Apostolic Church, he served there faithfully as a Van Driver, Sunday School Teacher, Brotherhood President, assisted with accounting and directed the trauma center.

Minister Ware became a Deacon and was called to the ministry. In 2005, led by the Lord, he and his wife moved their membership to Grace Apostolic Church where he worked in many capacities, such as Chairman of the Brotherhood, Greeter, and Parking Lot Security.

Minister Ware was preceded in death by his parents, John and Opal Ware; son, Brian Ware; daughter, Crystal Ware; and brother, Benjamin Henry Ware.

Minister Ware leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife, Laura Ware; sons, Robert (Jackie) Ware and Michael (Maria) Ware; brother, Louis Ware; sisters, Patricia Bolden and Estelle Madison; and a host of nephews, nieces and grandchildren as well as great grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Minister John Ware will truly be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him and his smile was infectious.
