Minister Robert A. Taylor was born July 26, 1964 to Dorothy F. Taylor and Edward C. Taylor. Minister Robert accepted his wings from Heaven above on Saturday, August 18, 2018.

Minister Robert graduated from Marion Franklin High School and soon after went to serve in the U.S Army. He was employed with the State of Ohio for many years, where he later retired.

Minister Taylor confessed his faith in Christ as a teenager and was baptized at Family Missionary Baptist Church where he began his Christian journey. He remained faithful under the Pastorate of the late Bennie Ray Towns Sr., and then Pastor Aljunius Leggett. Under the pastorate of Pastor Fredrick V. Lamarr, Minister Robert A. Taylor was called to preach in 1998 and soon became an associate minister of Family Missionary Baptist Church. Minister Taylor also faithfully served as Sunday school teacher, Men 4 Movement, Summer Boot Camp Counselor, transportation, minister in-reach, Head of men’s day, teacher and mentoring for FMBC reaching higher heights.

He leaves to cherish his memory; mother Dorothy F. Taylor, fiance Carmen Medlijn, children Robert A. (Cherrell) Taylor Jr., Antwan Kirk, Laquan Kirk, Rhea N. Taylor, siblings Ronald K. (Faith) Taylor, and Edward A. Taylor, also a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Home Going Service 11:00am Friday August 24, 2018 at Family Missionary Baptist Church 996 Oakwood Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
