Mittie R. Ray, age 81. Sunrise January 2, 1934 in Chester, SC and Sunset December 3, 2015 in Columbus, OH. Mittie was a graduate of East High School and a retired Nurse Assistant at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Bone Cancer Unit. She was a member of God’s Grace Church where she ministered with the choir. Mittie was preceded in death by her parents Johnnie W. and William Pendergrass Sr., brother William Pendergrass Jr. and daughter Betty Malone. Left to cherish her memory, sons Paul Sonny (Willa) Ray Jr. and Charles W. (Juanita) Ray, daughters Paula Lewis and Jolene (Darryl) McGhee, 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Visitation 9:00am and Home Going Service 10:00am, Saturday December 12, 2015 at God’s Grace 175 Fairway Blvd. Interment at Evergreen Burial Park. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Dear family and friends. I am so deeply sorry to hear about your loss. Mittie will be missed but not forgotten because Jesus’ words found at (John 5:28,29) says there will be a resurrection. So what this mean is that Mittie will be given a fresh new start with the prospect of living forever without death. I hope these promises found in the Bible bring comfort knowing that you have an opportunity to see her again to share more wonderful times together.
