Montay Owens, 40 born September 12, 1978 in Mansfleld, Oh, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019 unexpectedly, Montay, who was affectionately known to many as Tay or (Tayda bug) was employed by Voyant Beauty in Columbus, Oh where he worked as a forklift driver.
Tay’s beautiful smile and personality was one of a kind and he was always a pleasure to be around. Tay was an avid lover of fashion and jewelry and he was always well dressed and nicely groomed.
Montay was preceded In death by his father, Harold Roberts, Maternal grandmother Nellie White-Fletcher and paternal grandparents Frank and Savannah Roberts.
Tay is survived by his mother Gloria Owens and the late Harold Roberts of Mansfield, Oh. 4 Children; Montay J. Owens jr. , Najayah Wright (Mansfield, OH.), Tajanai Wade (Columbus, Oh), Taymir Jamison (Pittsburgh, PA). Fiancé Cara Hynes (Columbus, Oh). Brothers; Burton Hester (Nikki), Darrell Roberts (Nikki) both of (Columbus, Oh). Sisters; Tiffany Wilson (Andre’) and Monyetta Porter both of
(Mansfield, Oh). Maternal Grandparents; Willie Owens (Almeda) of Meridian, MS. Step-Mother Vivian Roberts (Mansfield, Oh). A host of Nieces and Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Honorary Brothers, James and Jacob Owens and Leon Briggs. Special thanks to, “Tay’s Village,” who supported him throughout his life.
Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Monday, August 12, 2019 at Oasis of Love, 190 Chester Ave.
Interment at Mansfield Cemetery.
