
Ms. Mardell Bradley Davison,aka “Sweet Baby”, a beloved member of her community, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Cleveland Clinic, going Home to be with the Lord. She was born on September 8, 1952, in Evergreen, Alabama, to Jack Green Bradley and Mary Lee Bradley.
Mardell graduated from Mansfield Senior High School as a proud member of the class of 1970. She dedicated 40 years of her life to Century Link, where she served as a Technical Analyst until her retirement. Mardell was known for her exceptional work ethic and commitment to her profession.
Faith played a significant role in Mardell’s life, and she was a devoted member of New Community Temple COGIC. She served on The Mothers Board, demonstrating her deep love for God and her community.
In her leisure time, Mardell cherished family gatherings and created lasting memories with her loved ones. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and showing her culinary skills in the kitchen. These activities brought her great joy and allowed her to connect with those closest to her heart.
Mardell was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Green Bradley and Mary Lee Bradley, as well as her siblings: Elisha Bradley, Mannie Bradley, Barbara Nell Franklin, Geneva McCorvey and Nellie Verrett. Their memories will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved them.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Pastor Roderick L. (Angela) Davison, and daughter, Rache’ M. Davison. Additionally, Mardell leaves behind seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren who will forever hold her dear in their hearts. She is also survived by her siblings: Wilbert Bradley Sr., Artemus Bradley, Robert (Dorothy) Bradley, and Herman Bradley. Mardell’s godson, Cecil Bradley Jr., held a special place in her heart. She also had a close bond with her special niece, Mary Reese, and her nephew Charles “Butch” Bradley. Mardell will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were fortunate to have known her.
The visitation for Ms. Mardell Bradley Davison will take place on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Both services will be held at Community Temple COGIC, located at 338 Harker St. Interment will take place at Mansfield Cemetery Association.

I had the privilege to work with Mardell at CenturyLink and found her to be one of the most devout, patient and graceful people I have ever known. Her love of her God, her family and her work family provided a role model for the team and it is a blessing to me that I knew her. My condolences to the family. Mardell is truly a wonderful soul and will be missed by many.
Mardell was one of my best friends and will be greatly missed. She was a great woman with a kind soul. We spent countless hours laughing and enjoying life.
