Mr. Alan Christopher Head

Alan Christopher Head, age 57 passed on October 14, 2022. He was born August 26, 1965 to the late Willie and Erline (Solomon) Head in Akron, Ohio where he spent most of his childhood, later in life he moved to Columbus, Ohio where he spent the remainder of his life. Alan was proceeded in death by parents Willie and Erline Head.

Alan graduated from Garfield High and was a member of the school’s football team. After graduation, he went on to attend DeVry Technical Institutional, where he received an associate degree in Electronics. After obtaining his associates, he started work as an electronic technician. He worked at Big lots as an electronic technician. Later he met the love of his life Lillie Bea (Saddler) Head, they were a couple for 38 years. They became one June 8, 1996 in Ashtabula, Ohio. He was a loving and generous husband to his wife and they were married for 26 years.

Alan loved working in the garden where his wife Lillie, used many of his beloved vegetables to make a variety of meals that they enjoyed throughout their life. He loved the Lasagna that his wife, Lillie would make. Every Sunday Alan would sit back, relax grab a coke and some pizza, and turn on the TV to watch football; another one of his favorite past times. His favorite team was the Pittsburg Steelers, never missing a game when they played. Another one of Alan’s hobbies was grilling. He would pull out the grill occasionally and grill up a feast of delicious food for his family and friends. Alan also loved family gatherings and would try his best to never miss one. He loved cats and had 3 three Coca Channel, Twin, Lucky. Alan loved music by Rick James, Lakeside and Prince and would love the beat that the music left in both his soul and his feet after jamming out. In Summer 2022, Alan and Lillie were able to take their last vacation to Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Florida.

“You Have No Idea!”  Is a quote that Alan would often say to Lillie. Well, Alan you are right we have no idea how to go on without you. But one thing I do know is that you would tell us to keep living a good and happy life. Alan, we will meet you on the other side!

He leaves many family members to cherish his memories- Brothers: Willie Jr. (Stephanie) Head, Kevin(Peggy) Head. In- laws: Ethel Saddler, Thomas (Yong) Saddler, Jerdean Saddler,  Barbara Jean Saddler (Deceased), Mary (William) Shade, Willie Saddler, Cleophas Saddler, Joseph Saddler.  An host of Nieces and Nephews and friends.

A Tribute to Alan from the Saddler Family:

Alan you were a brother to us, not just a brother-in-law. Throughout our crazy hectic family, you always stood by and shared all of our moments, both the good and the bad. You were there for every wedding, birth, death, sickness and everything in between. Even though you were quiet and rarely spoke your mind, you always had wisdom to share and words to help us through the moment. Alan thank you for your kindness and turning the situations that seemed impossible into the possible.

We, the Saddler family will miss you dearly.
