Bosley 1

Curtis Leon Bosley, Jr., was born July 13, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio to Janice and Curtis Leon Bosley, Sr.

Curtis was baptized at Galilee Baptist Church and graduated from Macomber Whitney High School in Toledo, Ohio, where he was the captain of the football team. He attended Kent State University for 3 years, studying political science and government. In 1984, Curtis and his family moved back to Columbus, where he was employed as a Business Account Representative for AT&T Wireless for 10 years. He was an Account Representative at Rent-A-Center for two years. In 2007, he joined Cardinal Health as a QRA Specialist Regulatory Management where he was currently employed.

In August 1990, he met the love of his life, Kimberly Rawls, and they were united in marriage on January 18, 1991. This year they celebrated 32 years of marriage! Of this union they have two daughters Cortney and Kiana.

Curtis loved cooking, fishing, traveling, going to the thrift stores, and gathering collectibles. Everyone knows that Curtis was the grill master, but most of all he loved his wife and daughters. He was a father figure, brother, uncle, and a friend to many. Curtis never met a stranger.

Curtis joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Sunday, October 12, 2003, and was ordained as a Deacon on Sunday November 14, 2004. He was a devoted deacon and a member of Mt. Zion’s Security and Men’s Ministry. Curtis loved Pastor Humphrey and his church family.

How do you describe such a beautiful soul? He was caring, compassionate, loving, and generous. Curtis’ enormous personality not only filled each room he entered, but also left an indelible impression upon everyone he encountered. His smile was so big, bright, loving, and his laugh was very infectious!

Curtis transitioned from labor to reward at Riverside Methodist Hospital on Saturday February 18, 2023, at the age of 57. He is preceded in death by his father Curtis L. Bosley, Sr., sister Vicki Bosley; niece Casaundra Renita Gray; maternal grandparents Estelle and William A. Fields, Sr.; paternal Mary Magdalene and Charles Son Bosley.

He leaves to cherish his memory his best friend and loving wife Kimberly: daughters Cortney (Rashad Toudle) and Kiana (Marcus Brown) Bosley; God-daughters Asia Hill and Ronee Carpenter; grand-dogs Toby, Malik, and Dream; Mother Janice Bosley; sisters LaRonda Bosley, Lanae (Maurice) Rhodes, Lanida (Armstrong) Bosley; Aunt Earlene Fields; Sisters-in-love Sharon (Clarence) Cunningham, Donna (Wayne) Banks, Francine (Michael) Lacey, Sr., Dallas, TX, Kathryn Rawls Indianapolis, IN; Brother-in-love Kenneth (Lisa) Rawls, Sr.; Half-Sisters Aisha Dunning; Verondra Dunning; Leondra Dunning-Washington; A host of other nephews, nieces, cousins, family, and friends.

May you be strengthen by those of us that love and support you in your grief. Curtie (Fred Hammond) was an amazing husband, Father,Son,Sibling,Uncle, cousin,Christian and Friend. I’ve been thinking about how much joy I’ve personally had just being his presence. Our private joke was me calling him Fred Hammond, he’d always laugh and say Miss Shirley. I can’t ever remember a time he wasn’t smiling and cracking jokes.
Kim,Courtney, Keke, Janice I know the excruciating pain of losing your life partner, your loving father and a supportive child. May you soon find the peace that passes all understanding.
