Mr. Frederick T. Wallace Sr.

Mr. Frederick T. (Gov) Wallace Sr., 74, departed this life Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Winchester Rehabilitation Center. Frederick was born on August 27, 1944 in Springfield, Ohio to Harold and Edith Wallace.

Frederick graduated from Sharon High School in Sharon, Pennsylvania. He was very active in sports an all Star Player on the basketball team. Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served a three year term in Vietnam. Frederick also attended a trade school learning Refrigeration Repair and opened an appliance store in Youngstown, Ohio. He worked at different car dealerships around Warren and Youngstown Ohio. Frederick also had a passion for flea markets and love reading inspirational materials.

Frederick is preceded on death by his father Harold; sister Patricia (Patty); two brothers, Melvin and Harold; two sons Norman and David; step daughter, Anjanette Blake; brothers -in-law,Bishop Norman L. Wagner and Eddie Carter; grandson, Nathaniel.

Frederick leaves to cherish his memory his wife Annie; mother, Edith Wallace; two sisters, Rita Wagner of Youngstown and Linda (Bishop James) Tyson of Indiana; two sisters-in-laws, Jennifer Wallace and Annie (Chuck) Snider both of Youngstown; eleven children from a previous marriage to Evelyn Wallace, Frederick T. Wallace Jr., Kevin Wallace, Kimberly Wallace, Corey Wallace, Brian Wallace, Sheila (Terrance) Perkins, Donavan Wallace, Elena (Earl) Burger, Eric Wallace; eight step-children, James Kennedy of Columbus; Yvonne, (Richard) Parker of Kilee, TX; Sandra of Columbus, Sam Smith of Columbus, Sophia (Earl) Barnett of Groveport; LeSonia (Marcus) McQueen of Groveport and Janetta Byrd of Columbus; ten grandchildren, Kahari, Aaron, Endia, Jasmone, Dauntae, Michah, Zyla, Tai’ Ree, Tyson and T’Kahai; nineteen step-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

    To the Wallace Family, I want to offer you my deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your son and brother Ricky.

    Ricky was my friend and team mate on the Sharon High School football team. He had the incredible ability to catch any football that was thrown to him. Ricky won serveral games for us in fourth quarter.

    May God continue to grant you strength as you mourn the death of Fredrick (Ricky).

    Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this time. I met Fred when we rode “old Route 66” a few years past . I can honestly say I enjoyed every minute we had together.
    I just had a hard time keeping up with the V-Rod. I met a real friend in Fred.
