Joshua Dwyane Chafin was born December 20, 1988 in Columbus, OH. Joshua was in foster care since birth and
came to live with the late Ira Cross Jr. and Celestine Cross in 2001 and found his forever home. He departed his life
to be with our Lord and Savior on March 29, 2023 at the OSU Medical Center.

Joshua loved to travel with his big brother, Ira. He loved going to Florida and hanging out at Universal Studios. He
also loved going to the movies with his big sister, Leah. They would often go out to eat and to the mall. In his spare
time, Joshua worked with his big brother doing bounce house deliveries. Joshua had a passion for playing video
games and watching movies. Joshua loved his family dearly.

Joshua was employed by CJ’s/Kahiki Food Warehouse. He was employed with CJ’s for 8 years and was loved by his
coworkers.

Joshua is preceded in death by his father; Ira Cross Jr.

Joshua leaves a legacy and precious memories to be cherished by his mother; Celestine Cross, sister; Leah Lomax,
brother; Ira Freeman (Miranda), nieces; Taylor Lomax, Dejah Freeman, nephews; Ira Freeman, Isaiah Freeman,
special aunt; Schnelle Chavis, special cousin; Shaneada Chavis, special friends; Randy Leslein, Lloyd Mitchell,
Carleton Neighbors Jr., Rasean Thompson, Dante Horton, Cliff Roland, Ian Smith, Rob Wensae, Robert Mock, Anthony Whitesell and Eric Sallie.

Joshua will be truly and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM Friday, April 7, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave. Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery. as I get myself together prepared to visit you this Friday April 7 I will hold special place inside of my heart you work so hard trying to get us together getting ready for the future some people forgot about us but it’s ok we didn’t have nothing to hide about or trying to change each other we both accept each and one way I always will love you but God loves you more thank you so much for trying to put us together and planning the future out .
