Mr. Karol Bowers Sr.

Karol Bowers, Sr., 83, was born on July 14, 1935 and passed away on November 23, 2018.

Karol was a member of Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies. He retired from International Paper. He was a 33rd Wishful Master of the Masonic Temple.

Karol is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Bowers; parents, Harold and Alice (Moss) Bowers; brothers, Harold, Howard, Jerry, Jimmy, Leonard, Vernon, Eddie, and Charles; and only sister, Nancy NJie. He is survived by his children, Karol (Heidi) Bowers, Brita (Perry) Bowers-Qualls, Karol (Donelle) Bowers, Jr., Ishmael Bowers, Kelly Bowers, and Angie Bowers; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation 9:00am and Service 10:00am  Saturday December 1, 2018 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.

  4. You know I had my SPECIAL name for you. You were and will always be My Daddy Bowers. I’m glad I got to visit you, you held my hand and when I asked you did you know it was me Lica you sweezed my hand I brushed your hair and just sat talking to you your lil room mate kept trying to see who I was that’s always gonna have a SPECIAL place in my heart. You had my up most respect from the day you called me over to the house and we had that SPECIAL talk I thank you for that. My deepest condolences go out to my kids who never really had the chance to know such a great man and their grandfather Heidi Britta Ishmel and Bunny you guys know how I felt bout this man and my heart hurts for you sending prayers and condolences to you. Daddy Bowers you will truly be missed but not forgotten Barbara is up there waiting for you.
