Malcolm Devonte Mason, 32, passed this life on May 3, 2023. Malcolm was born on January 31, 1991 in Mansfield, Ohio to Artie and Betty (Blaney) Mason.
Malcom was a proud 2009 graduate from Mansfield Senior High. Malcolm was a loving and loyal young man who loved spending time with his daughter, nieces and nephews. Malcolm had a deep love for his dog, Hazel and the skills of Kobe Bryant. He had a heart for helping. Malcolm was truly a mommas boy. To know him was to know he was a good guy.
Malcolm was preceded in death by his grandparents; John Aron and Dorothy Blaney, grandfather; Jimmy Freeman and great aunt; Betty Blaney.
Left to celebrate his life are his daughter; Aaliyah Pinkston-Mason, parents; Artie and Betty Mason, grandmother; Grace “Jackie” Freeman, sisters; Searia of Texas, Dorothy and Vontia of Mansfield, brothers; Malik and Jaykwan of Mansfield, nieces; Da’Mia, Da’Shay, ZaNya and Zareia, nephews; De’Mir, Zehvan, Zakhye, Zamari, De’Marrion, De’Marrius and Baby Zahir, special friends; Jacari Davison, Kendall Dean, Brennan Robinson and a host of Family and Friends who loved him dearly.
Malcolm will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, and friend. He had a passion for sports. Malcolm knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation 8:30 AM and Funeral Service 9:30 AM Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Shiloh Baptist Church Mansfield, 130 E. 2nd St. Interment at Mansfield Cemetery Association. I can’t not imagine how you and the family feels.

Sending our sincerest condolences and love to the entire Mason family. Upon moving to Mansfield and attending Shiloh, my son Marcus formed a family bond with Malcolm and the Mason household. Everyone treated him with love and kindness and I am truly grateful. After Marcus passing 9 years ago Malcolm continued to reach out to us every year on his birthday and death anniversary to make sure we knew how much Marcus was loved because that’s what kind of young man he is..loving, humble, and kind. Malcolm you will truly be missed by the Basey’s. I am sure Marcus and Tyree will be at heavens gate’s with smiles on their faces “dapping” you in, and please give them a tight hug from me. I will forever miss you three! Betty and Artie, Marcus and I will continue to keep you both in our prayers. May God grant you peace that surpasses all understanding.

I still can’t grasp the fact that he is gone I had just threatened him less than a week before this happened about coming to see me just because Michelle, Kendal moved I didn’t he laughed and said I”m coming Ms Danielle I promise. That’s the kind of guy he was always making you smile and feel special. He will truly be missed. Continuously praying for the entire Mason family. Love y’all to pieces.
