On Sunday, January 13, 2019 Richard A. Harrison, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 55.

Richard was born on April 11, 1963 in Takoradi, Ghana to George and Victoria (Ghartey-Tagoe) Acquaah-Harrison.

Growing up, Richard was the life of the party. He left an infectious impression on everyone he met. After completing his secondary education in Africa, Richard set his mind to travel to America. However, it took many years for his dream to come true.

After arriving in America in 2009, Richard obtained a position at Cheryl’s Cookies where he remained employed until January 2019. Richard had a passion for politics and government. Richard also loved to read, listen to music, and dance. In all, Richard was a homebody who enjoyed time with his wife, close family, and friends. Richard was also known for his ability to put a smile on everyone’s face, especially that of his mother.

Richard was kind with a servants heart. He was also passionate and possessed a spirit that allowed him to form special bonds with children. He especially loved his 9 year old daughter Grace. He was a great son, brother, father, and husband. To know him was to know joy for he was a pure soul. No matter how challenging life got, Richard was determined to make others smile.

Richard is preceded in death by parents George and Victoria, and brother Emmanuel.

He leaves to cherish his memory; wife Yaketa, only daughter Grace, sister Comfort Harrison, and brother Edwin Acquaah-Harrison, also a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
