Mr. Sean Phillip Johnson

Sean Johnson, 27, passed away on April 16, 2021. Sean was born on January 7, 1994 in Columbus Ohio to Tiffiney Johnson and Bernard Hawkins.

Sean was a 2013 graduate of Westerville South High School. Sean worked for IBA Support Services, as a Home Health Aide. Sean raised by his mother Tiffiney and his stepfather David Sloan. Sean enjoyed writing music, singing, sports and helping others. Sean was a Rock Star; he lived his life to serve others. Sean loved God and gave his life to him at an early age. He respected the beauty of his creation around him.

Sean knew no strangers, when he walked into a room, he made the whole room laugh. He was wise beyond his years. His spirit was to kind for this world he left behind. God embraced his son on April 16, 2021.

Sean’s spoken words: I’m so damn fortunate to have lived the life I live and have had the friendships I’ve had; and still have I learned on my journey that you decide your fate; but trust in destiny, you choose the road and the map already laid out, and if not you make it.

Sean was a loving father of six beautiful children and a loving Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Valeria Johnson-Pace, maternal grandfather Ralph Hammock, grandfather Frank Smith Jr and brother Bernard Hawkins Jr. Survived by children Isaiah Eli Johnson, Sean Phillip Johnson Jr., Valeria Sierre Johnson, Aria Grace Johnson, Yelitza Marlen Johnson, and Brian Achilles Johnson, his mother Tiffiney (David) Johnson-Sloan, father Bernard Hawkins, brothers Rodney Stewart and Devan Wade, sisters Iris Brittany Hawkins, Jasmine Wade Sa’sha Hawkins, grandmother Iris Archie, great aunt Elspeth Hudson, aunts VonTessia Nosike, Tera Johnson, Tiy Johnson, Brandie Morrison, Quenishia Pace, uncle Don (Manya) Morrison and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Public Viewing Walk Through 10:00am followed by a Private Visitation 11:00 AM and Private Family Funeral at 12:00 Noon Monday, April 26, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Family is requesting everyone wear white with blue accents. Mask and Social Distancing are required for all services. Tickets are required for private services. Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.

    Sean always put a smile on my face. His infectious smile and loving spirit will never be forgotten. There was never a dull moment or lack of laughter when Sean was present. I couldn’t have asked for a better Friend/Brother for Will. I already miss our talks and the sound of your voice. Sean was and will always be family and greatly loved and missed by us all.
