Mrs. Chayla Amanda Prude-Jefferson age 41 of Marion, Ohio went home to be with the Lord, Sunday October 24, 2021 at Marion General Hospital. Chayla was born in Marion, Ohio on December 17, 1979 to Ulysseus (U.C.) Sims and the late RoseMary (Wade) Hall.
Chayla was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life LeAunti Delray Jefferson. This union was blessed with five children.
At an early Age Chayla professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of True Faith Church of God in Christ. Serving under her uncle, Superintendent Michael J. Wade. Chayla had an enormous giving spirit. She was loved by many. Her life was as beautiful as she was, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.
Chayla loved to love on people and she will be greatly missed. Her beautiful life and legacy will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, LeAunti Delray Jefferson; children: three sons Martin Prude, Le’Aunti (T.J.) Jefferson II, Te’Sean Jefferson; her daughters Latayjah Jefferson, DaLayah Jefferson all of Marion, Ohio; one grandchild Martin Prude II; one godson Tavion Brown: her four brothers, James Carlos Prude, Ulysses (U.C.) Sims Jr both of Marion, Mark Prude of Delaware, Ohio, and Miguel Wright of Columbus Ohio; seven sisters, Sara (Larry) Abrams, Chontru Jefferson-Wentworth, and Kristie Shaw all of Mansfield, Ohio, Rhonda (Kevin) McCray of Columbus, Ohio, Kendra Poole of Louisville, Kentucky, Rose Ann (LeRoy) Russell and LaShaunda (Kenneth Drake both of Marion, Ohio; loving mother in law Susie Shaw of Mansfield, Ohio; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Chayla was preceded in death by her mother, RoseMary and stepfather Johnny Hall, father in law Walter Jefferson, maternal grandparents Nellie and Martin Wade, and paternal grandmother Mary Minor, a sister Felicia Prude, a nephew Barron Prude, and a brother in law Reginald Shaw.

Chayla was a beautiful person inside and out! She will be greatly missed! An amazing smile that lit up the whole room! I watched her grow up into a powerful, strong, awesome woman.
