Mrs. Joy Holmes, 63, passed away on October 21, 2021. Joy was born on January 7, 1958 in Mansfield, OH to Charlie Ward and Sweet Ward.

Joy was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. She was formerly employed at Thermo Disc and Harmony House and took great pleasure in her most recent job as a childcare provider at the YMCA. Joy was a longtime member of Community Temple COGIC.

She is preceeded in death by her parents and siblings, Odell Hill, Nellie Wheeler and Charles Ward.

Joy is survived by her loving husband, Minister Danny L. Holmes Sr., daughter Dewanda Petty; sons, Danny Holmes Jr. and Matthew Holmes; sisters, Charlene Wagner and Mary Lloyd; grandchildren, Tysha Cantrill, Tyrone Cantrill Jr., Darieon Cantrill, and Iyannah Holmes; great granddaughters, Aayla Seats and Taylinn Hammock and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation 11:00am and Home Going Service 12:00 noon Friday November 5, 2021 at Community Temple COGIC 338 Harker St. Interment at Mansfield Cemetery.
