Myron Dale “Piney” Jenkins

JenkinsMyron

It was a great day when our baby brother Myron Dale Jenkins, affectionately called “Piney” was born on August 30, 1957, in Arlington, AL. He brought blessings to his parents Reed and Lorean Jenkins.

Piney age 61, is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Cleveland Jenkins, Joe Henry Jenkins Sr. and Levone Jenkins.
Piney was the youngest of ten children.

After graduating from Pine Hill High School, he set out on a journey of discovery and moved to the motor city Detroit, MI. While in Detroit he was employed by General Motors Corporation for many years. Still looking for adventure, later on in his journey he decided to move to Columbus, Ohio.

Shortly after settling down in Columbus, Piney met and fell in love with a beautiful lady named Belinda Hinkle. Belinda and Piney shared their lives together for 34 years. The love of his life Belinda, preceded him in death last year in June.

In February 2018, Piney fell ill and during this time, God allowed Piney to spend his last days surrounded by family. Though he was apprehensive, he took heed to the abundance of love and support from his brothers and sisters and allowed them to care for him. His beloved sister Ida Mae made sure he had everything he needed and that he followed doctors’ orders until God called his name on Sunday March 3, 2019.

Left to cherish his memory, brothers Perry (Pearlie) Jenkins of Cleveland, OH, Donald (Inell) Jenkins of Arlington, AL, Quincy (Karen) Jenkins of Columbus, Oh, sisters Lucile Marshall of Chicago, IL, Ida (Everett) Miller of Columbus, Oh, Laura Dixon of Detroit, MI, Jodell Bell and Sharon (Woody) Pugh of Saraland, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
