Nathaniel Lee Thomas was born June 11, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio to Betty J. Tucker and Cyril N. Thornton.  He entered his eternal resting place on August 24, 2016 @ 1:15 A.M. to join his parents and son Naron Craig,  in heaven.

Nathaniel, affectionately called ‘Nate’ received his education in the Columbus Public System where he played basketball. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving on the U.S.S. John R. Craig, DD885 warship while fighting in the Vietnam War.

He held various jobs throughout his life, working for Timken, U.S. Postal Service, National Electric Coil, Jeffries Mfg, just to name a few.  Nate loved life, family, friends and R & B music, especially The Temptations.  He was an avid sports fan, favorites being Muahmmed Ali, the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State.

He leaves to mourn his death daughters: Kveta (Willie) Barber, Tanisha Moore, sons: TiJuan Thomas, John Howe, Charles Groce.  Sisters: Toni Thornton (caregiver), Regina Packer, Jackie Houpe. Brother: Enrique (Melissa)

Thomas of IL, 2 brothers and 1 sister on his Father’s side.  Special grandson: Damontaye Moore, Special cousin’s The Dimmys, Michael Ready and Puddin. Special friends: Ann Brown, John Seals, Gary King and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Thursday September 1, 2016 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave.
