NeCia Leanne Mitchell was born on February 24th, 1974, to Henry and Gail Mitchell in Columbus, Ohio. She was called home on August 6th, 2020, in Conyers, GA.

NeCia was a graduate of West High School in Columbus, Ohio in the spring of 1993.

She worked several service industry jobs until settling into housekeeping in the medical field at Mount Carmel Hospital in 2004. In 2009, NeCia fell victim to kidney failure and continued weekly Dialysis appointments. She was fortunate to receive a kidney donation from Aimee Patrick and completed the transplant surgery in 2011. She continued to work at Mount Carmel until she returned to Georgia to stay with her mother, Gail, after her father, Henry H Mitchell Jr., passed away unexpectedly in February of 2013.

She continued to live in Conyers, Ga., and began working with Damsel in Defense in January 2017. She traveled the country doing different Damsel conferences and sold women’s defense products until she passed away from heart failure on August 6th, 2020.

NeCia was preceded in death by her father, Henry H Mitchell Jr.; her grandparents Henry H Mitchell Sr., Winifred Mitchell, Willie Clarence Kirkpatrick, & Lois Kirkpatrick; aunts Winifred Jackson, Betty Mitchell, & Beverly Richardson; uncles Douglas N. Ellis, Perry Ellis Jr., Willie Ellis, & Jerome Kirkpatrick; cousins Rodney Hatcher Jr., Guy Warren Sr., & Andre McGaughey Jr.

NeCia is survived by her mother, Gail Mitchell; brothers Henry H Mitchell III & Richard JJ Mitchell; aunts Serena Henderson & Erika Kirkpatrick; cousins Lela Jackson, Joanie Mitchell, Brian Mitchell, Shawn Jones, Titus Warren, & Roberta Warren; and many other family members and friends.

PRIVATE Visitation 10:00 AM and Memorial Service 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at COP East, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

A MASK IS MANDATORY.

Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.

    I was so blessed to have known NeCia. We were able to meet in person in 2018. I thought at once that she was a wonderful lady who made me laugh and found joy in everything she could. I’m truly sorry for your loss. God and the angels will welcome her with open arms.
