Nicole Marcel Easley was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the age of 43. Nicole was born to parents Freddie D. Ewing Jr., and Nora L. Ewing on March 8, 1974 in Corona, California.
Nicole graduated from DeVry University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and was working for the state of Ohio as an auditor at the time of her death.
Nicole is preceded in death by her sister, Stephanie S. Ewing, grandparents Freddie D. Ewing Sr., and Marcella Ewing, Roy Gene and Haroldine Perry, Paternal uncles Russell Ewing, Charles Ewing, Gary Ewing, and Steven Ewing, paternal aunt Sylvia Sheppard-Ewing, maternal uncle Roy Gene Perry Jr.
Nicole leaves to cherish her memory with her sons DelJuan Hankerson and Antonio Thomas, mother Nora L. Ewing, father Freddie D. Ewing Jr., step mother Nora Ewing, sisters Faith Ewing, Tamera Brown, Hope Ewing, Elisha Ewing, step-sisters Stephanie (Robert) Inabinett and Dorothy Davis, brother Joshua Ewing, stepbrother JC “Junior” Davis, grandchildren Arriana Hankerson, DelJuan Hankerson Jr., and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Nicole will be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She remained strong during her fight. She will be especially missed by those who had the privilege of loving her.

To the family of Nicole, you have my deepest sympathy in your loss. When someone you love dies, it is like losing an irreplaceable rare jewel. God knows how you feel because he had to endure the pain of His son’s agonizing death. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.” May you rely on God’s promise that Nicole will live again!
