Norma J. Butler was born on August 8, 1945 in Alexandria, LA to the late Levi Sr. and Dorothy B. Butler.

Upon leaving Alexandria, LA in the year of 1968, coming to Columbus, Ohio for a visit with some friends, looking for a bigger and better life.; she fell in love with the city and decided to make it her home.

Before and during her failed health, she loved and looked forward to spending time with her family and friends. she looked forward to the holidays, it was her favorite time of the year. She enjoyed cooking for all of us. Watching her movies and her favorite TV Series “Power”, and Let’s not forget “Ghost”.

Norma was preceded in death by parents, Levi Butler Sr. and Dorothy B. Butler; her best friend and Love, Bobby R. Stancil.

She is survived by her two daughters, Robin R and Youlanda F. Collick; two sons, Darnell Butler (Melissa Blankenship) and Damon Butler (Michelle Davis) all of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; sisters, Hattie Toney, Dorothy Toney, Helen Madden, and Pastor Jeanie Williams, all of Alexandria, LA;brothers, Levi Butler, Jr. of Alexandria, LA, and Ronnie Butler of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Monday, April 27, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.).

Interment at Glen Rest.
