Condolences and prayers for the Obie Smith family. Obie was a dear sweet neighbor. We are certainly going to miss him. We spent many days just sitting around talking about old times. So much fun with him and his wife Rosie. RIP Obie. You Will once again be with your dear sweet wife. We love you and we will miss you dearly.
Offering my sincere condolences to the family of Bro. Obie Smith. So sorry to hear of his passing, but God does not make any mistakes. Praying for you today and in the days ahead for the comfort and peace that only our God can give. God bless you all.
My heart is with the Smith family. I am deeply sadden that Mr. Smith is no longer with us, but I find peace with the knowledge that he and his loving wife are together now in the comforting arms of our Lord and Savior for eternity. I have much love and respect for Mr. Smith. As a neighbor child growing up with his family, he treated me as if I was one of his own. I shall always remember and cherish the times that he spent talking with me. He would share things from his younger days to current events and would always let me know how the Lord has blessed his life. For me, he was a role model on how a man should cherish his wife, adore and care for his children, and above all how a man should love the Lord. I thank God for Mr. Smith a real life hero for me. I thank his children, especially Bobby, for sharing their father with me. His legacy lives on with all of you and there is little of that legacy spilled over on me. On behalf of my wife Pamela and the rest of the Harris family, we pray that God’s love fill this tremendous void in your lives with the comfort of His grace, mercy and peace. God bless the Smith family. Love your brother-at-heart, Will.
Wrapping my arms around the Smith family. Bro. Smith was one of my favorites; he always had a joke for Patrick and I. We know God never makes mistakes and we thank Him for the time He shared Bro. Smith with us.
I was taught early in life that in order to have a friend, you must first be a friend. It’s also been said that you can count your true friends on one hand. For more than 27 years, Mr. Obie was my not only my best friend. More specifically, he was my constant friend. For me, God used him as His instrument through every handshake, conversation, and deed that he shared. He took a liking to me when I was seeking to find my way as a young man in my 20s because he saw that I was raised on certain values. Obie was no doubt a man’s man. His family is truly a reflection of his legacy. You would rarely see him without his wife. I will miss the talking and laughing with them as we would sit for hours at a time. I take comfort in knowing he is resting with Mrs. Smith after 68 years of union on this earth. He would say “I am her and she is me”. To say that he will be truly missed doesn’t begin to scratch the surface. My prayers and condolences go out to the Smith Family at this most difficult time.
