Alicia Minique Kate Weaver was born on November 27, 1980, in Mansfield, Ohio, to loving parents Cynthia and Charles L. Weaver. She was welcomed into the world by her adoring and protective older brother, Dion, marking the beginning of a close-knit family.
At the age of eight, Alicia was baptized at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Mansfield, where she attended services until Cynthia and the children relocated to Gahanna, Ohio. In Gahanna, Cynthia met and married Eddie Rouchion, who became a supportive bonus father to Dion and Alicia.
A bright and precocious student, Alicia excelled in the Gahanna school system and frequently earned educational honors. Her achievements were celebrated by the city of Gahanna with a dedicated day in her honor.
After graduation, Alicia attended The Ohio State University, majoring in Spanish Linguistics. To enhance her proficiency and perfect her skills, she spent three quarters in Mexico and achieved fluency in Spanish. She earned her degree in Spanish Linguistics in 2004.
A dedicated and hardworking professional, Alicia was employed by Ameritrust Group as an interpreter and claims adjuster. She enjoyed her job and held great admiration for her manager, Daniel Kienitz.
Known for her sincerity, thoughtfulness, and resourcefulness, Alicia was a kind and caring person with many passions. She loved her family, friends, and her dogs—Rocky and Bentley. She was also a fervent fan of Ohio State football and the Cleveland Browns, and she cherished her visits to New York City.
With her vivacious personality and radiant smile, Alicia was often the life of the party. She was a loving daughter, sister, and loyal friend.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her mother, Cynthia (Ed) Rouchion; her brother, Dion Weaver; her step-siblings, Todd (Valerie) Rouchion and Valarie (Sidney) Sowell; her aunts, Pamela (Larry) Levison-Ball and Lyshon (Damon) Allen; her uncles, Roderick Crutchfield and Ulysses (Keisha) Crutchfield Jr.; her special cousins, Da’rod Crutchfield and Kimberly Taylor; her college roommates, Dionte Howard and Anne Dannemiller; her special friends, Tanisha Liza Neal and Shenita Arnise Crosby; and many other cousins, relatives, and friends.
Alicia was preceded in death by her father, Charles L. Weaver; her grandfathers, James Weaver Sr. and Ulysses (Nancy) Crutchfield Sr.; and her grandmothers, Gartine Gude and Janie Lou Weaver.
Alicia will be sorely missed but she leaves a rich legacy of love, caring and devotion for her family and friends to follow!
