Algonto "Tony" Jackson

July 3, 1973 — April 25, 2026

Algonto Grant Jackson was born in Man, WV to the late Fannie Ann Jackson on July 3, 1973. "The last of the Mohicans" his beloved mother affectionately called him.

Algonto was educated in the Man, WV school district. Upon completion he moved to Columbus, OH and later to Reynoldsburg, OH where he made his home since May 18, 2000. Algonto was a long time and dedicated employee at Tomasco Mulciber, Amazon and Road Safety Traffic Systems as a Traffic Control Flagger. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment on the job.He was a passionate sports fan who faithfully cheered for his teams: the Chicago Bears, the LA Lakers, professional wrestling, and the Ohio State college football. Algonto enjoyed watching old Western movies and shows. He also cherished spending time with his family.

Algonto found joy in the simple things like driving around Columbus to relax, to discover new places to eat, unwinding with his favorite video games and having conversations about all things sports. He treasured the many family vacations, family gatherings and looked forward to many more. Algonto was the “Uncle Tony” that the kids gravitated towards. He loved tossing the ball, playing street ball, shooting hoops, carrying the kids on his back and shoulders, playing on the grass with them and making them laugh. Whenever he had time, he enjoyed traveling to Man High School, home of the Hillbillies, to watch his high school’s first football game of the season. His infectious laugh, long eyelashes, smiling eyes, dancing and cracking jokes.Algonto will be deeply missed and he will forever be. in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Fannie Ann Jackson, an unborn daughter, Anessa J. Jackson, his brothers, Tommy Lee Jackson, James R. Jackson and Anthony "Rock" Jackson.
