Amiya Manns-Payne

December 5, 2001 — November 3, 2025

Amiya Michelle Manns-Payne was born on December 5, 2001, to Jami Manns and Brian Payne. Amiya passed away on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with leukemia.

Amiya attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from Youth Build Columbus Community School. She worked for Spirit Airlines until her illness, where she thrived in a team member lead role.

Amiya is preceded in death by her parental grandparents, her Uncle Robert Palmer, Aunt Adrienne Manns, and her beloved cousin Derek Boone Jr.

Amiya leaves to cherish her memory her mother Jami Manns, father Brian (Ruth) Payne, siblings Arianna Manns, Jayla, and Jalen Payne, as well as Marting Reeves, Devon Reeves, Brian Payne Jr., and nieces and nephews Layonna, Laquan, Legend, Laimiyah Riley, and Payton Payne. She is also survived by grandparents James Manns and Cora (David) Freeman, godmother Patricia Griffin, godson Jamari Westbrook, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her very much. Her best friend and favorite cousin was Audrey Stromer.

Amiya was our little Cancer, a mighty spirit in such a small frame. She loved basketball, cooking, and spending time with her family. Amiya expressed her greatness through her work at the Columbus Airport.

Amiya will be missed each and every day, but we celebrate the short time we all had to love her.
