Balettera Denise Butler

Balettera Denise Butler of Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026.

Born on December 15, 1964, Balettera was the daughter of Ronald A. Woodson and Marletta E. Lewis. She attended Charleston High School in Charleston, West Virginia, and later devoted many years to her family as a loving mother, wife, and homemaker to her husband, Darnell R. Butler, and their two children.

Balettera was known for her wit, strength, courage, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She enjoyed watching television, cooking, music, and keeping up with the latest fashions. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Darnell R. Butler; her father: Ronald A. Woodson; her maternal grandparents: Della and Partridge Toliver; and her paternal grandparents: Claretta and Fred Sims.

She is survived by her two Sons: Fabian Woodson (Geneva) and Todd Woodson of Charleston, West Virginia; her Sisters: Traci, Tonya (Timothy), Ronda (Rick) of Springfield, Ohio, and Ponice; and her Mother: Marletta E. Lewis of Beavercreek, Ohio. She also leaves to cherish her memory four Grandchildren and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and Uncles.
