Barbara Jean Cowan

Barbara Jean Cowan, age 77.  Sunrise September 15, 1939 in Elkhorn, WV and Sunset February 7, 2017 in Columbus, OH.

Barbara retired from Columbus Rehabilitation Center.  She was a member of Woodland Christian Church and various bowling  leagues.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Arlethia Reed and Alexander Reed and siblings, Stella, Edna, Evelyn, Bobby, Rosa, Diane, Emmitt, and Lindsey.  Left to cherish her memory, husband, Eugene Cowan; daughter, Tracy L. Cowan Carson; sisters, Elizabeth Caslin, Helen Slaughter, Shirley Rucker and Cynthia (George) Simmons; grandchildren, Lorraine Thomas and William D. Thomas; great grandchild, Ty’Juan Thomas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation 9:00am and Funeral Service 10:00am, Saturday, February 18, 2017 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.  Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
