Barbara Thomas

Barbara Rose Thomas, 76, of Columbus, Ohio, departed this life on Monday, May 5th, 2025. Barbara was born on October 31, 1948, in Youngstown, Ohio. Daughter of Earl Thomas and Irene Harris Javey. She lived in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Columbus, Ohio, in 2021.

Barbara enjoyed watching her Soap Operas, Horror movies, Bingo, crossword puzzles, buying scratch-off and lottery tickets, eating her snacks, and spending time with family, especially her weekly lunch dates with her Granddaughter.

She was preceded in Death by her parents, Earl Thomas and Irene Harris Javey, Great-Grandsons Tre’Laun, and Jewkaw, and four Brothers, George Javey, Earl Thomas, Robert Javey Jr., and Cecil Javey, and sister Yvonne Simms. 

She leaves to cherish her memories. Daughter Christina Thomas of Columbus, Ohio, son John Thomas, and his two children from Cleveland, Ohio. Grandsons, Christopher and Donte, whom she helped raise. Granddaughter Twinetella, Tanisha, Tishanna, Great-grandchildren Syleena, Christian, Oshay and Jeremiah, Columbus, Ohio and one Great-Great-grandson Saiyr. Sisters Mary Cooper of Youngstown, Ohio, Gail Taylor of Lexington, Kentucky, and Earleen Gehring of Columbus, Ohio. Many nieces and nephews loved their Aunt Barb—special Grandkids: Tyreka, Aniyah, Neriah, Daniella, and Prince of Dallas, Texas.
