Beverly Edwards, 84, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio.
Born on October 4, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio. Beverly was a proud graduate of North High School, Class of 1959. She continued her education at Columbus State Community College, laying the foundation for a dedicated and accomplished career in accounting and financial services.
She served as an Accounting Supervisor for the Department of Liquor Control and retired in 1995. Over the years she also shared her gifts and strong work ethic with Chase Bank, H&R Block, and Safelite Autoglass. Her professionalism, integrity, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her.
A woman of faith, Beverly was a devoted member of Columbus Bible Way Church. She was a Jets for Jesus teacher, Camp Director, Usher, and member of the gospel choir for many years. Beverly was also a part of the Women's Damli praise dance ministry. She poured her heart into nurturing others through her time, her voice, and her spirit.
She found great joy in life's simple and meaningful moments. She loved her Children and grandchildren. She loved reading, sewing, and baking for those she loved. Beverly loved football. Her favorite teams were The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Green Bay Packer.
Beverly will be remembered for her servant heart, her unwavering faith, her warm presence, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched through her kindness, guidance, and devotion to God.
She leaves to cherish in her memory, Sister: Melveena Edwards; Children: Dwight (Charlene) Mangum, Cheryl (John) Carter; Grandchildren: Dwight (Twyla), Tanessa, Kamaria, Natousha, Isaiah (Chrishawna), Ashlee, Cierra (Terrell), Alexis, Joy and 23 Great- Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: Father Nathaniel Edwards; Mother: Esther Edwards; Sister: Lois Neely; Daughter: Marlys Mangum and Granddaughter: Tamika Mangum.
