Born February 4, 1967, Charles passed quietly away on February 14, 2026 at age 59 after a yearlong battle with Glioblastoma, brain cancer.
Charles was born as Ronald Gary Brown Jr., but his name was changed legally when he was adopted by his maternal grandmother when his young mother was killed in a car accident.
Charles was an exemplary student in grade school even obtaining the prestigious Jaycee' s "Boy of the Year" award. An award based on his straight A' s, classroom attendance and attitude.
As a child he loved playing in his little league football team, listening to music, and watching martial arts movies. He enjoyed hanging out with his cousins who were more like brother and sister and working at his early morning Dispatch paper route.
As a teen, Charles attended several high schools and worked at various fast food jobs.
Charles's journey through adulthood was not an easy one, but he worked through the obstacles and rebuilt his life with hard work and church involvement, such as serving on Hosack Street Baptist Church Usher Board.
Charles spent several years working for Black Creek Bistro. His most rewarding job was being a caregiver to his beloved maternal grandmother, Mildred Ringer Tynes, who raised him. Mildred lived to be a remarkable 97 years old and Charles was a constant source of comfort and support for her.
Whichever name you knew him by, Charlie Brown, Chaz, Chazmo, or Chuck, you will remember his big smile, his warmth, and his resilience.
Preceded in death by Mother, Pamela Jo Ringer Brown; Father, Ronald Gary Brown; Maternal Grandparents, Mildred Ringer Tynes and Sanford Ringer; Fraternal Grandmother, Paula Pascal Brown; and aunt, Wanda B. Yates
Survived by Aunt, Sandra Ross; Cousins, Darrell Ringer, Kyla Ross, and Jada (Russell) Johnson;
Children, Ciera Wade (Tony), Synaisha Wade and Shaquille Wade; and Grandchildren, Daeziere, Dajourie, Daemir and Dakota, Harlem and Hassan
