Charmaine Anita James

Charmaine James was born on September 11, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Octavia James and Charles James Sr. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence brought warmth, strength, and comfort to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents: her beloved daughter: Zaharra James and her siblings: Evelyn (Matthew) Jones and Eloise (Clyde) Williams.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted Children: Youlanda (Gary) James-Tate, Pauline (Thomas) James, and Kevin James.

She is also survived by her loving Siblings: Charles (Erma) James, Elizabeth Rogers, Donna (Charles) Jenkins, and Thomas (Kathy) James. 

Charmaine’s legacy continues through her cherished Grandchildren: Dan’neasha (JaVaughn) Ellerson, Marquita Clark, Marquan James, Dashawn James, Taquan Evans, Teion Evans, Taylon James, Keion Robinson, Brooklyn Horton, Ma’lonnah Forte, Gary (Alyssa) Tate, Mark (Lindsey) Tate, Eddie Tate, Kary Coleman and Nathan Roy. She was also blessed with a host of Great-Grandchildren: Palar Harrison, Jazarah Ellerson, Ma’kia Hawkins, Nevaeh James, Noelle James, Kali James, Rue James, Kamron James, Rahz Applewhite, Zah’Lyn James, Na’Tariah James-Taylor and Teana Hudson. In addition, she leaves behind a host of Nieces, Nephews, Extended Family, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Charmaine’s legacy of love, resilience, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
