It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cheryl Lynn Doggett, who departed this world
peacefully on June 4, 2024, at the age of 56, surrounded by her family. Cheryl was a beloved mother,
daughter, sister, and friend.
Cheryl was born on February 2, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio, to Eddie and Beatrice Dozier. She grew up with
a passion for football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Ohio State University Buckeyes. She
graduated from Father Joseph Wehrle High School in 1987.
Cheryl spent her professional career working for various companies, but she particularly enjoyed her
time at Lowe’s and Hannah Walt Company, where she assisted contractors with construction solutions.
Outside of her professional life, Cheryl had a passion for watching professional and college football, and
playing in Bid Whist and billiards tournaments around the country with family and friends.
Cheryl's greatest joy was her sons and family. She was a devoted mother who treasured every moment
spent with her children.
Cheryl is survived by her loving sons, Trenton Marcel Doggett, Trey Marquel Doggett, Trevon Marquise
Doggett, Tyrese Montell Doggett, and Ty'Quan Arnett Doggett; her father, Eddie Dozier, Sr.; her brother,
Eddie Dozier, Jr.; her maternal grandmother, Rheno Doggett; her nephews, Tyler & Zachary; a niece,
Lauryn and a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Ann Dozier; maternal grandfather, Julius H. Doggett; and her paternal grandparents, Pete and Cleo Wallace.
Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 10:00 AM Friday, June 14, 2024 at Divine Kingdom Builders, 201 Wilson Ave. Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.
