Christopher E. Bowden, beloved son, father, fiancé, and artist, passed away on May 11, 2025, at OSU East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 31.
Born on March 2, 1994, at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx, New York, Chris later made Columbus his home, where he left an indelible mark on the community. A proud graduate of Westerville Central High School, Chris was a gifted artist and a respected entrepreneur. He was a young legend in the Columbus rap scene, admired for his lyrical talent and creative vision.
Chris was known for his vibrant energy, unwavering loyalty, and the love he showed to everyone around him. His spirit brought warmth, laughter, and inspiration to countless lives. He was a devoted father to his daughters Karisma R. Bowden, Tianna Richmond, and son Antonio Callahan, and a source of love and support to his fiancée, Ashlynn Lytle.
He is survived by his loving mother, Jetuan J. Bowden; his daughter, Karisma R. Bowden; and the mother of his child, Rayona Thompson. Chris was deeply cherished by his great-grandmother, Helen Timmons; grandparents, Deborah A. Butts and Jaron E. Butts; and his grandfather, Carnell Bowden.
He will be fondly remembered by his aunts: Kiahini Butts, Kindaya Butts, Matrice Butts, Charity Bowden, and Justice Bowden; uncles: Jerome Womack and Corey Butts; great-uncle Kevin Timmons; and a large extended family including many little cousins who adored their “Uncle Chris.”
Chris’s legacy lives on through his music, his art, and the countless lives he touched. He will be remembered for his kindness, his authenticity, and the love he gave so freely. His family and friends will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
