Clint Carter peacefully transitioned to Heaven on January 28, 2026. His loss is heartbreaking, and his family is deeply saddened by his passing.
Clint was born on May 21, 1970, in Cleveland, Ohio, the youngest of four boys. From an early age, he excelled both academically and athletically, demonstrating the determination and leadership that would define his life. He proudly served his country as an Army Infantry Soldier in the United States Military. After his honorable service, Clint continued his pursuit of education, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Ohio University.
A devoted family man and pillar of his community, Clint gave generously of his time as a youth football and basketball coach, mentoring and inspiring countless young athletes. He was also an avid Cleveland sports fan, passionately cheering on his hometown teams through every season.
Clint had a divine spirit and was adored by everyone in his life. His humor, affectionate smile, and caring heart will be missed by all who loved him. His departure leaves a deep wound that is immensely felt by family and friends, yet his spirit, love, and light will live on forever.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Julia Carter, and daughter, Tamera Carter, brothers Eric and Michael Carter and a host of other family and friends.
Waiting for him at the doors of Heaven were his beloved mother Gwendolyn Gaines (Cookie); father, Harold Gaines; brother, Kevin Carter; and his sons, Clint Carter Jr. and Tamani Carter.
