Cordie Calloway, (Calloway) age 80, was born in Paris Texas on May 24, 1945. He was the son of Theresa Calloway and Ruth Booker. He was a military kid living in Albuquerque New Mexico and Denver Colorado before moving to Columbus Ohio at the age of 11. He graduated from Marion Franklin High School.
Cordie later joined the Army and received an honorable discharge. Cordie was married twice. First Wife Roberta Calloway of Columbus Ohio. Cordie relocated to Alabama and married his second wife Patricia Calloway. Between the two marriages he had 6 children.
Cordie moved back to Ohio in 1990 where he was a loving son, father, uncle, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed playing Dominos, Cards and watching football. Cordie was able to make you laugh with little to no effort. He was "The Funny Man" that always said, everyone loves a Fat Man! Cordie was known for riding motorcycles and having a face and voice that resembled Barry White.
Cordie is preceded in death by; Mother: Theresa Calloway;Father: Ruth Booker; Stepfather: Francis Calloway; Sons: Calvin and Kevin McCarroll; Sisters: Dorthy Gore and Herschel Smith and Granddaughter: Amber Calloway.
Cordie is survived by; Brother: Rodrick Calloway; Daughters: Carla McCarroll, Roberta (Glen) Ellis and Nina Calloway; Son: Patrick (Therese) Calloway; Granddaughters: Shamecia Brown, Dannetta (Andreus) Trout, Eboni (Korrion) Wade, Darla McCarroll, Kevina McCarroll, Loreal Calloway, and Taija Watts; Grandsons: Brandon Calloway, Dwayne Dowdell II, Tahj Watts and Freedom Calloway and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.
