On this day we celebrate the life of one of the brightest spirits the world has known,
Crystal Tracey Fuller, age 59, gracing the world with her presence December 30, 1966 and gained her wings July 28, 2026, following a health battle after a double lung transplant.
Born in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Valerie Fuller and Jimmie Brewer she was an unbeatable force, whether she was beating up her siblings or she was defending them, she has always been a protector.
She is survived by her Mother: Valerie Fuller; Father: Jimmie Brewer; her Children: Ashley Fuller, Tylon Fuller and her baby Janelle Mills; her Sister: Nichole Smith (Thomas Smith), Children: Larry Hutcherson, Terrance Hutcherson, Sister: Desmona Moore (Brian Moore), children Tiesha Hamilton (Aubrianna and Taniyah), Stephen Hamilton, Shountea Stover (Soren and Simeon), and Tanicqua Hamilton and Brother: Terrance Fuller (Melissa Matson), and Children: Taylor Pettett, Terrance Fuller Jr., Whitney Matson, and Tyrel Matson. Crystal was known by many names Mama Love, Ma, Mom, Tracey, Crazy to her siblings as a joke, Shug, Aunty Crystal and most of all she was the neighborhood's Mom, Aunty, Grandma and Nana. If anybody knew her in school or in the neighborhood she grew up in they knew better than the challenge her. Her siblings say if you ever have to go in a dark alley Crystal is the one you want to go with. Over the years, people thought she would grow out of her fighting spirit, but it never left her side, but we're all glad it didn't because she fought until the very end and there was some men that deserved an iron or two upside their head and they were warned so who's fault is it really? After she became a mother she gained more than her own kids every one of her siblings kids became hers too, from the apartments in Michigan to the doubles on Grasmere and every place after, every child knew where her place was, we all loved her house.
With her friends, Ann, Angela, Candance, Carla, Red, Fashion, Jackie, and so many more, Crystal made sure anyone around her understood family was not just made through blood, and that in her home anyone could be their most authentic selves. If there was a good time to be had you knew you were having it when Crystal was around. From nights at Eazy's to other bars that loved and hated to see her coming or pool halls winning on tables left and right, to parties she threw where they stayed up all night. Her friends were never just friends, they were her family too, their children became her nieces and nephews, one thing Crystal was going to do was rename someone's child and she made sure everyone ate even if you thought you weren't hungry.
As Crystal worked through the years, she touched every heart she came into contact with to include customers she served while working with Nick at Phillips Coney Island on West Broad Street, all the kids who were sent to the kitchen at the daycare she worked at after they got in trouble and the parents of those children or other children who she needed to set straight about their kids. There was no time of year where Crystal was not brightening up someone's life, she never forgot a birthday, was anyone's biggest cheerleader when they accomplished something and was never afraid to tell someone about themselves. Especially at Christmas time when the family changed the song Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home) by Mariah Carey by replacing every mention of Christmas to Crystal and it fit perfectly in the lyrics.
Crystal joined New Fellowship and became truly steadfast on her Christian journey, she was very involved with the Church, joining the Women's Ministry, Choir and Youth Ministry. Understanding that your past does define your present or your future, and perfection is not the goal, Crystal studied her word and applied it where she could and forgave herself for her past mistakes as she had already been forgiven by God.
Although she is no longer physically within our grasp, we will always be within the warmth of her 6 foot reach and Crystal Tracey Fuller is now living her best life, smiling down on us stepping high in those six-inch heels, dressing better than ranch and breathing easier in Heaven's air.
