Dacee O. Fisher

Dacee’ Obray Fisher was born to the proud parents of John Grace and LaTonya Fisher-Grace on April 28, 1978 in Cleveland, OH. Dacee’ affectionately known “Squeaky” was the second of seven children.

Dacee’ attended grade school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District before moving to Bedford City Schools where he graduated high school in 1995. Naturally being good with his hands, he enrolled in Barber College. Upon completion of his barbering program, he began working in barbershops in Cleveland.

Venturing out a few years later, he took a leap of faith and began residing in Columbus, Ohio. Continuing to work as a barber with great skill, he soon made a name for himself in the Columbus area. It was only a matter of time before he would own and operate his own barbershop. In 2013 he opened “Gifted Hands”, a name so fitting for him and all the barbers that would work there. During his time in Columbus, he met Nekeya “Nikki” Johnson who he made his wife. The two joined in holy matrimony on May 28, 2011. Having a strong sense of family and brotherhood, Dacee became a Prince Hall Mason. He was a member of “The Word Church” of God in Christ International under the leadership of Pastor Eddie Parker III. He became a deacon and later answered the call to preach the Gospel, becoming a licensed minister in 2015.

Many say that Dacee was a “good” man but he was a “godly” man. If there was anything anyone needed, they didn’t leave his presence without it because he was a giver. He lived life with a song in his spirit and love in his heart. His smile and laugh were contagious, uplifting the spirit of anyone near. Always having a kind word to speak, he was an encourager and a motivator. He truly lived the words of the Apostle Paul; he was “all things to all people.”

Dacee completed his earthly assignment and transitioned to his heavenly home on April 3, 2018.

Dacee is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George Grace and Janie Marlow; as well as his son Nathan Haynes.
