DeNease Hightower

DeNease Nolan Hightower (Dansby) was born to the union of William A and Ina Pearl Dansby on February 18, 1940. DeNease passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

DeNease attended Mansfield Senior High School where she was a cheerleader and the second woman of color to serve on the Queen's Court. She was a member of Mitchell Chapel A.M.E Church.

DeNease was retired from Richland County Ohio after working as a hab-tech for over 20 years.

DeNease was dedicated to her family, she enjoyed cooking, playing bid whist and a little gambling.

DeNease is survived by her daughter Condrea Monique Corley (Byron), her grandson Rashod Cantrell, her great grandson Xavier Cantrell, brother, James Dansby, sister Gwendolyn Tuck and a host of nieces and nephews.

DeNease was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Ina Pearl Dansby, her sisters Ann, Yolanda and Charlene and her brother Shadi (Ronald) Dansby.
