Denise Faye Jefferson, age 69, was lifelong resident of South Linden, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on October 7, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to George H. Jefferson and Julia Alice Booth Jefferson.
Denise graduated from East High School and later attended The Ohio State University, where she studied economics. She later dedicated many years of service to Ohio State University East before retiring.
Denise was a devoted mother, granny and great granny who cherished her family deeply.
In her free time, Denise enjoyed Roller Skating as well as sewing. She was an incredibly talented seamstress. She loved creating beautiful pieces and spending time doing what she enjoyed most. She also loved baking for her family and friends. She was especially known for making fudge and for her "world-famous" chocolate chip cookies, which became a cherished tradition among those who loved her. Denise will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the love she shared so freely with her family and friends.
Denise is proceeded in death by her mother: Julia A Booth -Jefferson; father: George H Jefferson and lifelong partner: Marlon Story.
She leaves behind her Five Children: Alice Jefferson, Deirdre Jefferson, Malcolm Story, Diondre Jefferson, and Jerry-Del Jefferson. Her legacy also lives on through her Ten Grandchildren: Ashanti Jefferson, Kurtis Watson Jr. Michael Campbell, Mikhaeya Campbell, Jeremiah Jefferson, Mah'Khaiy Campbell, Jaliyah Story, Marlon Story, Janiyah Story and Malcolm Story Jr. and Six Great-Grandchildren: Anise Turner, Kylee Watson, Kahlil Campbell, Malachi Johnson Mi'Angel Campbell and Kasai Campbell, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
She is also survived by her loving Siblings: Karla Asbury, Howard (Kim) Jefferson, Renee (Deon) Jefferson, Dr. Judy (Telford) Gordon and Charlie Jefferson and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, along with Extended Family and Friends.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
