Denise M. Smith, age 54, was Born on March 23, 1971 to the late Wilma and Joseph Coleman in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Denise was a very loving and caring, down-to-earth person. She liked to brighten people's day. It was impossible to be around her and not know that she loved you.

She was Married to Emmett Smith since September 9, 2003 for 22 years.

She loved and enjoyed listening to jazz music. Her favorite band was the sos Band, who she got from her sister, Kathlyn. She loved watching true crime shows and even fell asleep to them. Denise was a woman of mystery and determination.

She was loved by many and she will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Wilma and Joseph Coleman; siblings: Bonnie White, Richard Smith, Michael Smith and Kathlyn Tyler.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Husband: Emmett Smith; Children: Jazmyn Smith, Dawntae Smith, and Cooper Smith; Siblings: Patricia Griffin, Susan Smith, Victor Smith (Cristina), Bobbie Edwards, Kimberly Edwards, Bennie Edwards, Kenny Edwards and Lance Edwards; Aunt: Willie Bea Smith and countless Nieces, Nephews and Friends who held a special place in her heart.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
