With profound sadness and everlasting love, we announce the passing of our precious son, Diamond Legacy Esquire Phillips, who was born on May 11, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio, and peacefully gained his angel wings on July 2, 2026, at just 7 weeks old. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Noreen Phillips and great-grandfather, Leonard McKnight.
Though Diamond's time on earth was brief, the love he brought into the lives of his family will last forever. Every moment with him was a treasured gift. He found comfort in his warm milk, being cuddled, showered with kisses, listening to music, and peacefully swinging in his swing. Diamond had the sweetest smile and a beautiful dimple on his left cheek that could brighten any room and touch every heart. He was a calm and gentle baby, only fussing when he was hungry or needed a diaper change. His quiet spirit and unconditional love left an unforgettable mark on everyone who had the blessing of meeting him.
Diamond is lovingly survived by his devoted Parents: De'Shea Phillips and Tobias Collins; his beloved Siblings: Dayana Phillips, De'Shean Phillips-Pursley, and Da'Ceé-David Phillips; his Grandmother: Tamra Collins; Grandfather: Donnie Baumgardner; his Great-Grandmother: Taylor P. Collins; loving Godmother: Brittney Jones; Aunt Shalonda and Uncle Brian McIntosh, and a host of aunts, uncles, other family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Although Diamond's life was only seven weeks long, he taught those around him the true meaning of unconditional love, hope, and the preciousness of every moment. He will forever be remembered, deeply loved, and eternally missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him until the day they are reunited with him.
"And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them." Mark 10:16
"Sometimes the smallest feet leave the biggest footprints on our hearts."
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Diamond.
