Donald Clarence Willis Jr., age 60, departed this life on May 28, 2025. Born on July 1, 1964, Donald was a proud graduate of Mifflin High School and honorably served in the U.S. National Guard, demonstrating his dedication and love for his country.
Donald was a devoted General Manager in the food service industry for many years. Known for his radiant smile and warm demeanor, he took great pride in providing exceptional service, mentoring others, and sharing his love of food, travel, and connection. Whether it was through training new staff or welcoming a customer, Donald made people feel seen and respected.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Shirley A. Douglas; his father, Donald C. Willis Sr.; his stepfather, Cecil Douglas; grandparents Lloyd Williams Sr., stepmother Pearl Williams, cherished aunt Sylvia Davis, and uncles DuShaune Williams and Lloyd Williams Jr.
Donald leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and laughter in the hearts of those who knew him. His memory will be cherished always by his loving children: daughters Dominique and Jalisa Dunn, and son Eric. He was the grandfather of Janiah Dunn, TySean Holman, and Nehamiah Mortan.
He is also survived by his devoted sisters: Florence (Dayle) Boyce, Benita Robinson, and Deanna Willis, and his brothers David and Lloyd Willis. His presence will be deeply missed by a large and loving extended family — a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were fortunate to have shared in his life.
Donald’s life was a testament to perseverance, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family. His memory lives on in the stories we tell and the love he poured into those around him. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing his spirit lives on — strong, steady, and shining brightly in all who had the honor of knowing him.
“Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us every day — unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and forever dear.”
