Donna Marie Thomas
Born September 9th, 1942 to James Goodwin Sr. and Martha May Curtis Goodwin in Benwood, West Virginia.

On Wednesday morning, January 21, 2026 Donna was called home to be with the Lord, and to be with her children: Charles Thomas, Anthony Thomas, and Kimberly Thomas; Brothers: Kelvin Lee Goodwin and James Walter Goodwin; Sisters: Shirley Mae Goodwin, Dorothy Cottrell and Grandparents.

Donna lived a good, full life for 83 years. She was married to her husband Charles Thomas for 66 years.

Donna was the glue to her family and that was that! The woman and mother in her went above and beyond to keep her family together. She truly loved her children, and she was a caretaker to many others, which led to her career as a director of Good Sheppard Nursing Home.

Left to mourn are her Children: Larry Thomas, Tonya, William Thomas, Kevin Thomas, and Samuel Jones; her Grand-Daughter: LaDonna Thomas; and her loving Sisters: Brenda Harris, Deborah Johnson, Patrica Goodwin, Barbara Judkins, Robin Wells, and Linda Wilkins who will live with the memories they shared.

Donna had many Grand-Kids, Great Grand-Kids, and was even blessed to see a few Great Great Grand-Kids. She adored them all, as well as her Nieces, Nephews, and her many Family and Friends who loved her too.

Although we are sad to let her go, Donna had a smile you will never forget. Boy, did she love to laugh and bring comfort to her family. Her house, home, and yard were always filled with good times. She loved her family and the Lord greatly, and in return her children took good care of her, and her husband stuck by her side through sickness and health. We are all thankful for the her life we celebrate today.
