Doris Vaughn

Doris (Nancy) Vaughn, born February 19, 1946, in Evergreen, Alabama, passed away April 16, 2025. Peacefully at the age of 79.

She resided in Mansfield, OH, for over 50 years. She was a faithful member of The New Community Temple COGIC. She formally sang in the choir, was a Sunday School teacher, worked in the kitchen with the Pastoral Anniversary Committee, and most recently was on the motherboard. She loved God and would praise him as often as she could.

Aside from being a mother, wife, and homemaker, she was employed at White Westington House until Closing in 1990, She then worked in caregiver services, and later worked at Therm-O-Disc, from which she retired in 2004.

She leaves to cherish 3 children, Christina D. Jones, Patricia A. Clark, and Willie L. Vaughn Jr. all of Mansfield, Ohio. 4 Grandchildren, Erica P. Vaughn, Eriana J. Vaughn, Erynn T. Vaughn, and William J. Clark. Great-grandchildren, Trenton K. Mitchell, Trevynn E. Harris, Trenitee E. Harris, and one on the way, Emery Vaughn, and a Godson, Peter Lloyd. 1 brother Percy L. Jones, of Evergreen, Al, 5 sisters, Dorothy J Ewing, Juril B. Jones both Mansfield, Oh, Bessie M. (John) Little of Andalusia, AL, Willie P. Woods of Brewton, AL, and Marjorie F. (Lonnie) McCreary of Evergreen, AL, and an honorary sister Hazel Nettles of Evergreen, AL. 2 brothers-in-law Nathan (Glenda) Vaughn, of Saginaw, MI, Jesse (Lodia) Vaughn Mansfield, OH, and 2 sisters-in-laws Theretha Vaughn of Saginaw, Ml, and Helen Black of Mansfield, OH, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and special friends Elect Alice Bradley, Supt. Henry Bradley (Cousin), Flor Bradley, William Franklin Jr., and Charles Williams.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Willie S. Vaughn Sr., her parents, Willie L. and Annie Lou Samuel Jones, 2 brothers, Robert L. Jones Sr., Paul R. Jones, and 2 sisters, Zerline Jones Smith, and Carrie L. Jones.
