Edna Jane Russell

Edna Jane Russell, age 77, of Springfield, Ohio went home to glory on August 13, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born June 28, 1949, she was second of seven children to Velma Lee (Douglas) Russell (1926-2020) and Ralph Herbert Russell, Sr. (1926-2018).

She was a woman of faith and loved talking about the Lord to everyone she encountered. She loved having family gatherings, ching ching, cooking, listening to gospel music, listening to the word of God, and talking on the phone to family and friends. She has left us all with memories of her smiles, love, personal conversations, and more. She always wanted to jump in the car with her brother Chucky and his wife Theresa to go on their outings. One of her most memorable trips was with her sister Ruth and favorite niece Renee and a group of women in Charlotte, NC. She had a wonderful time there, especially going down the slide in a pool. She did not allow her health to dictate her life and lived it well.

She was preceded in death by her sister's: Patricia Russell and Natalie Russell; her son: John (Red) Russell.

She will be deeply missed her Siblings: Ruth Ann Morgan (Russell), Ralph (Chucky) Herbert Russell, Jr. (Theresa), Ramon Dion Russell (Monica), and Cheri Lynn Russell; her Children: Darryl V. Russell and Cathy L. Russell; Grandchildren: Talika Russell, Tejuan Ragland, Jonya Russell, Isaiah Bush, Iasiah Bush, Jailee Russell, and Autumn Russell; her Great Grandchild: O'Mari Ragland and a host of a niece and nephews, great niece and nephews, great-great niece, cousins and friends.
