Edna Vernell Sutton-Woodyear was born on July 25, 1962 in Cleveland Ohio to Vickie Sutton and William Maddox.
Edna graduated from Max Hayes High School in Cleveland, Ohio.
She had three sons: Jamell Coffee. Tywan Osborn and Albert Windham.
After graduating, Edna went on to receive two college degrees; one in Business Management and one in Communication.
Edna spent many years in Mansfield, Ohio due to her mother being there and her last born being birthed. There, Edna also met her life partner in Mansfield, OH, Barney Woodyear, whom she spent many years with.
She has been honored at the State House by the Governor of Ohio twice, four times by the American Red Cross Association and once by the Christopher Reeves Foundation. Edna also was the CEO of Compassions Training and Awareness Center, teaching people how to work with others that had spinal cord injuries or injuries from paralysis.
Edna was an avid lover of animals.
Edna was preceded in death by loved ones: Cilla Ashford, Elizabeth Ashford, Vicky Sutton, Yvette Frasier, Hassan Sutton, and Jamon Frasier..
Besides her three sons, left to cherish her memory is a host of Family and Friends. Edna also had a host of Grandkids whom she loved.
